Sizing Guidance
  • We do not have half-size boots; we recommend you size down to the closest size. If you have wider feet, we suggest sizing up to the closest size.
  • The shoe size you use when you are buying sneakers might not be right when you’re looking for a pair of Heartland boots. By measuring your feet along their length and width, you should be able to match up your measurements to the Heartland Footwear boot size guide.
  • Heartland’s boots fit comfortable, but it’s key to choose the right size to find the best boots possible.

Good boots, but not for all day use

Hello, professional brewer here. Pros of the boots are: steel toe, thicker than necessary rubber. Cons: the opening of the boot is so large that it flaps around much more than other boots I’ve had while walking. The bottom parts of the boot are sturdy, but the top portion flaps around and eventually chafed through my skin on the outside of my calves, which I only noticed after I started bleeding. Wearing pants and not work shorts would be an appropriate solution and may work for some, but working in high temperature, high humidity and wet environments all day long prevents me from doing so. There should be some sort of long lasting cushioning or fabric on the inside of the top of the boot to prevent this. The rubber facing the outside is also very grippy, so if you’re in a hurry trying to step over parts and machinery, expect to trip over your own feet. I have a pretty good sense of orientation and balance, but I’ve never tripped over my own feet so much. The ducktail on the back of the heel only aids in this conundrum.
