Greetings from Heartland! we pray the entire Heartland community including you, and your family members and close friends are staying safe and productive. This note shares our continuing actions here at Heartland Footwear. In short, we increasingly grow safer and more secure, while we produce and ship to meet demand, and build safety stock. Our people have been safe inside our facility. We have not been interrupted and have met all customer demand on time and in full!
As an essential supplier of protective footwear, we have continued to operate and supply our customers. In large part as a result of heroic efforts by our team. If you have a chance to call in please take a moment to thank them. Importantly, we continue to grow our own protective processes and procedures to increasingly protect Heartland and our employees as they work.
At our facility in South Bend, IN we continue to lock out and restrict all outsider access, implement leading safety practices to protect our workers, our ability to produce, and maintain inventory for our customers. Our plant continues to operate 24/7 structured around protected and physically separated workers. We have become adept at working remotely. And are continually upping our precautions. With our added finished goods safety stock, we are doing our part to best support our customers.
Our primary materials are locally sourced and are continuing uninterrupted. That supplier is implementing protective production practices similar to ours. Our supply chain of components remains strong and flowing. Additionally, we have lined up secondary sources, and increased in-transit components.
We owe a special thanks to our local South Bend, IN based workforce who have rallied around making the changes needed to be safe, and continue to operate and ship.
